When I started working with wood, I wanted to make one of these. After finding a 100+ yr old Lane Red Cedar box from my grandma’s garage and repairing/refinishing it, I discovered a nice resonant tone in the wood, so I set right to work. This drum is not tuned to any scale but I do find the sounds it produces to be pleasing Purple Heart and Red Cedar 10 tongue log drum, hand finished. 12 x 15 x 31
